How it works

Placements

Every team plays 5 best-of-3 placement series to calibrate. Your rank stays hidden until they're done - then you're slotted onto the ladder.

Best-of-3 matches

Ranked matches are first to 2 game wins. A clean 2-0 sweep moves you more than a hard-fought 2-1.

Climb

Win to rise, lose to slip. Beating a higher-ranked team is worth more, and every result counts - there's no grinding a number, only the ladder.

Team seeding

A new team never starts from zero. It's seeded from its members' carried ranks, so a stack of pros and a stack of rookies don't begin level.

Promotions

Breaking into the top tiers takes a short promotion series. Prove it across a few matches before you move up.

Decay

Near the summit, inactivity slowly slides you back down - the ladder shows who's competing now, not who peaked once.
